Anne Gribbons Dressage Clinic at Chestnut Ridge

Anne Gribbons is a native of Sweden who has been active in American Dressage since the 1970’s. She has trained and shown many of her own horses to Grand Prix, nine of which were USET long listed. She has also trained numerous students and their horses to FEI levels.

In 1995 she was a member of the Pan AM Silver Medal team in Argentina and also represented the US at the NA Championships in 1985 and the World Championships in 1986.

Anne was the N American representative to the FEI World Cup Committee 1994-1997 and served for ten years on the USEF Board of Directors. In 2003 she served as Chef D’Equipe for the US riders at the World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden.

In 2010 she began her role as the Technical Advisor/Coach for the US Dressage Team. She guided them through the WEG in Kentucky 2010 where the US finished fourth, qualifying them for the 2012 Olympic Games. In 2010 the US team won the team gold and all three individual medals at the Pan AM Games in Mexico. At the London Olympics in 2012 the US team finished sixth with all three members scoring over 70% at Grand Prix for the first time.

Anne is a licensed FEI Five Star judge and most recently was the President of the Ground Jury at the WEG in Tryon, NC in 2018.

As a journalist, she is a regular contributor to the Chronicle of the Horse “Between Rounds” and is author of the book “Collective Remarks”. Currently Anne and her husband David operate Knoll Dressage in Chuluota, FL where she continues to train students and school horses.
